Time: 12:00PM – 1:30 PM
11/20/21, 12/4/21, 12/11/21 & 12/18/21
Students (Ages 8-12) will learn multiple foundational sewing skills and gain confidence for a lifelong love and mastery of sewing.
Students will practice measuring and cutting skills to follow a project plan while completing a customized art/writing case for their favorite notebooks and creative tools, in addition to other project opportunities! Learn basic sewing machine operation and parts, fabric types and properties, fabric marking, layout and cutting best practices, machine stitches, use of stabilizers, turning and pressing fabric and seams, and creating fabric embellishments for those personal creative touches!
All of these skills will enable students to understand and follow simple sewing project plans to create home decor items, wearable accessories, sewn art objects and more. For beginning to intermediate sewists; instruction is customized to develop students at their current level (no experience required!).
All fabric and supplies are included in class fee.
