Sewing Class for Teens

Students in this class (ages 13-18) practice machine sewing and a bit of hand sewing skills while creating fun and useful projects. Lessons will include sewing machine anatomy & safe operation, essential hand stitches, fabric properties, seam awareness, steam pressing, marking and cutting fabric with a rotary cutter & shears, basic measuring for drafting simple shapes, working with patterns and templates, construction planning, finishing techniques, & mistake recovery. Small class sizes ensure personal attention from Sewing Teacher and focus on supporting individual skill and knowledge building.
