Ukrainian Folk “Pysanky”, Easter eggs decorating. March 9 workshop.
The Ukrainian folk art of decorating Easter eggs, known as “pysanky” is a deeply historical artistic tradition. Learn the process of selecting symbolic designs, applying heated beeswax with a kistka (stylus) in a wax-resist method, while layering colors of dye. To reveal the egg’s final design, we melt the wax away to show all the colors.
