Sewing for Beginners/Intermediate Adults. Fall 2024.
Join our sewing class to learn the art of quilt-making!
Over the course of 4 classes, you will learn the following:
- Machine anatomy, learning how to use all parts of the sewing machine correctly.
- Threading the machine
- Changing the feet and needles
- Adjusting and fine-tuning your machine for different projects
- Purposes of different types of stitches
- Types of fabrics and how to handle each
- Sewing fabrics together
- Quilting blocks and quilting techniques (e.g. “sew as you go”)
- Batting and backing a quilt
You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer, but all materials and tools will be provided for you.
