Summer Fun Creating Up-cycled Art In Our Workshop for Youth (Ages 10 and Up)

Dive into the world of creative reuse at our Summer Upcycling and Re-imagined Art Workshop! This class is perfect for young artists who love to explore and create. We’ll transform discarded or unused materials into dazzling works of art, giving old items a vibrant new life. Here’s what we’ve planned for our young creators:

Lego Reimagined: Bring your old Lego pieces to life in a whole new way! Craft an eye-catching, abstract three-dimensional art piece. Feel free to bring your own Lego collection and turn it into a personalized masterpiece.

– Cardboard Architects: Step into the shoes of an architect and construct a charming model of a ferry house using cardboard. Learn the basics of structural design and enjoy building your whimsical creation.

– Magic of 3D Printing: Ever wondered how 3D printers work? Get up close with this fascinating technology and see firsthand how amazing three-dimensional objects are crafted right before your eyes.

– Natural Collages: Create stunning collages using natural materials like driftwood, sea glass, shells, and stones. Discover the beauty of organic art as you assemble materials gathered from nature into beautiful compositions.

Join us for a summer workshop filled with creativity, learning, and fun. Rediscover the joy of creating and see how everyday materials can be transformed into extraordinary art!

NOTE: Tools like scissors, Exacto knives and glue guns will be used with care.

Ukrainian Folk “Pysanky” Easter Egg Decorating

Ukrainian Folk "Pysanky" Easter Egg Decorating

Let’s Celebrate Easter Together!

The Ukrainian folk art of decorating Easter eggs, known as “Pysanky” is a deeply historical artistic tradition. Lean the process of selecting symbolic designs, applying heated beeswax with a Kistka (stylus) in a wax-resist method, while layering colors of dye. To reveal the egg’s final design, we melt the wax away to show all the colors.
