Sewing for Beginners – Adults
Learn a way to create beautiful wearable or art objects! Join our sewing class and learn an ancient art with a modern twist.
In this short course, we will learn the following:
- Machine anatomy, learning how to use all parts of the sewing machine correctly
- Threading the machine
- Changing the feet and needles
- Adjusting and fine-tuning your machine for different projects
- Purposes of different types of stitches
- Sewing fabrics together
- Quilting blocks and quilting techniques (e.g. “sew as you go”)
- Batting and backing a quilt
All materials and tools will be provided. If you want to bring your sewing machine, please inform us of the brand.
