Stained Glass I: Sun Catcher
Perfect for adults new to stained glass, this course introduces the Tiffany-style stained glass process from start to finish. Students will create a beautiful stained glass sun catcher while learning essential techniques including glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. All tools, materials, and colorful stained glass are provided. No experience required.

Stained Glass I: 3D Tray or Box
Perfect for beginners and those with previous stained glass experience, this course introduces the Tiffany-style stained glass process while exploring 3D construction. Students will create a beautiful stained glass tray or box while learning essential techniques including glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and 3D assembly. All tools, materials, and colorful stained glass are provided. No experience required.

Stained Glass II: Panel Design & Construction
In this intermediate-level course, you’ll build on the skills learned in Stained Glass I while creating a beautiful Tiffany-style stained glass panel. Students will refine their glass cutting, foiling, soldering, and finishing techniques while exploring more complex designs and construction methods. This course is designed to help you strengthen your craftsmanship, gain confidence working independently, and create a unique stained glass panel from start to finish. Prerequisite: Stained Glass I: Sun Catcher or equivalent stained glass experience.

Academic Drawing for Adults (Beginners & Intermediate)
This intensive course is for adults who want to develop or improve their drawing skills. Challenge yourself by experimenting with cross etching and charcoal. Gypsum casts and still life compositions will be used in a range of drawing experiences to study and apply concepts of composition, perspectives, proportions and volume. Studio Owner and Art Teacher Yana Farmer provides individual guidance to help each participant build skill proficiency. Suitable for beginners and those who want to advance their work. Glass Mosaic Masterpiece
Monroe Street Studio invites beginner and returning adult students to learn how to create their own Glass Mosaic Art. Students will learn extensively about Glass Mosaic tools, techniques, and design development in order to create their own beautiful and unique designs on a decorative terracotta plate. A large selection of pre-cut materials will be available as well as an endless source of stained glass for practicing with cutting and grinding stained glass in order to incorporate in to their original design. The students will also have an opportunity to finish their masterpieces by grouting them at the studio (optional). All materials are provided.

Attendance policy: Due to the nature and continuous presentation and refinement of new skills and techniques covered in these program, we ask that students do their very best to attend all classes within a session. At the end of the session, there will be a makeup opportunity for anyone who has missed a class for whatever reason within that session. We will no longer be issuing credits or refunds when two or more classes are missed due to student schedule conflicts or illness. Students who are aware that they might miss two or more classes should discuss the situation with the Studio prior to registering for the class.
