Spooky Hand Sewing

Girl Scouts will learn basic hand-sewing skills while creating a fun spooky-themed fabric project to take home. A perfect combination of creativity, sewing, and Halloween fun!

Girl Scouts will learn basic hand-sewing stitches as they assemble and shape their pumpkin, then add rustic rope and decorative details for the finishing touch.

Glazing on Bisque Pottery

Tuesday, February 23rd

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Girl Scouts will choose a bisque pottery piece and transform it with colorful glazes and creative designs. One kiln firing is included. Finished pottery will be ready after firing, and a pickup date and time will be provided.

Pour & Sip Art Experience

Dive into the exciting world of acrylic paint pouring! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn fun fluid art techniques and create your own vibrant, one-of-a-kind painting. No prior experience needed.

Bring your favorite drink & snacks. Guests 21+ are welcome to bring their own wine or beer. Monroe Street Studio does not sell alcohol.

Please note: Artwork will need to remain at the studio to dry for at least 3 days before pickup.

Pinch Pot Sculpting & Glazing Workshop: Pumpkins

Create your own handcrafted ceramic pumpkin in this fun two-part clay workshop! Using the timeless pinch pot hand-building technique, you’ll sculpt and design your pumpkin during the first session, then return to glaze and finish your piece after it has been kiln-fired.

This beginner-friendly workshop includes step-by-step instruction, all clay and glaze materials, two kiln firings, and all tools.

Guests 21+ are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to enjoy during the workshop. Monroe Street Studio does not sell or provide alcohol.

Thank you for registering with Monroe Street Studio. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and creative environment for all participants.

By selecting “I’ve read and agree to the Participation Agreement, Liability Waiver & Media Release” during registration, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation & Assumption of Risk

Participation in classes, workshops, camps, private events, and other activities offered by Art Center LLC d/b/a Monroe Street Studio (“Monroe Street Studio”) may involve the use of equipment, tools, and materials that present inherent risks of injury or property damage. Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Stained glass (glass, lead came, soldering equipment, flux, patinas, chemicals, grinders, glass cutters, and other specialized tools)
  • Sewing (needles, scissors, sewing machines, irons)
  • Painting, drawing, pottery, mosaics, resin art
  • Other art and fine craft materials, tools, and equipment

You acknowledge that you, or the participant you are registering, are able to safely participate in these activities and voluntarily assume all associated risks.

Safety

Participants agree to follow all instructor directions, safety procedures, and studio policies. Monroe Street Studio reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or interferes with the learning experience of others.

Emergency Medical Care

In the event of an accident, illness, or injury, you authorize Monroe Street Studio and its instructors, employees, and representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary. The participant or parent/legal guardian is responsible for any resulting medical expenses.

Photography & Media Release

Monroe Street Studio regularly photographs and records classes, workshops, camps, parties, and events, including group photographs, for use on its website, social media, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and other promotional materials. By registering, you grant Monroe Street Studio permission to use photographs and videos in which you or the participant may appear. No identifying personal information, such as a participant’s full name, will be published without additional permission.

If you have a special circumstance regarding photography, please contact the studio before registering.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, hold harmless, and indemnify Monroe Street Studio, its owners, members, managers, instructors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in studio activities, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct where applicable law does not permit such a waiver.

Studio Policies

You agree to comply with all Monroe Street Studio policies, including those posted at the studio or published on the Monroe Street Studio website.

Continuing Agreement

This agreement applies to the current registration and to future participation in activities offered by Monroe Street Studio, unless revoked in writing.
