In this hands-on course, you’ll gain foundational skills while building confidence at the machine. We’ll cover:

• Machine anatomy – understanding all parts of the sewing machine and their functions
• Threading the machine
• Changing feet and needles
• Adjusting and fine-tuning your machine for different projects
• Types of stitches – what they are and when to use them
• Types of fabric – how to identify and handle each
• Sewing fabrics together
• Quilting blocks and techniques, including “sew as you go”
• Using batting and backing to finish a quilt
